Horizon Europe – ITRE Committee vote:

Energy efficiency, flexibility and renewable gases rightfully taken on board

R&I support is crucial to ensure the transition towards a reliable, cost-efficient and decarbonised energy system. It is therefore important that the future EU R&I framework programme “Horizon Europe” adequately includes all areas contributing to this goal.

Ralf Wezel, Secretary General of EUGINE and EUTurbines, has expressed his support to the reports of MEP Dan Nica and MEP Christian Ehler on Horizon Europe as adopted by the ITRE parliamentary committee today: “We very much welcome the ITRE Committee’s request to increase the overall budget to €120 billion and appreciate the revised specific programme description, especially the Cluster Climate, Energy and Mobility”.
