EPPSA-EUGINE-EUTurbines joint input to SET-Plan Issue Paper 4 (Energy Systems)

Within the SET-Plan discussions, the European Commission has proposed an overarching R&I target to ensure the EU’s energy system robustness and resilience (action n°4). EUTurbines, EUGINE (European Engine Power Plants Association) and EPPSA (European Power Plant Suppliers Association) have jointly prepared an input paper stressing the importance of flexible thermal backup generation to achieve this target. The paper also outlines a number of R&I priority areas to further increase the flexibility and efficiency of flexible thermal power generation in the future.
