Engine power plants – keeping the lights on in COVID-19 times

Engine power plants often supply electricity and heat/cold to critical infrastructure such as hospitals, airports, data centres or industrial plants. Due to its compact size and installation behind closed doors, engine power plants are not very visible, but also during the crisis time of COVID-19 reliably ensured that power and/or heat was always available to those who helped to overcome the pandemic.

EUGINE , between 27 April and 8 May, highlighted the role of engine power plants in a series of social media articles and provided details on the contribution of engine power plants to the reliable energy supply of hospitals (#Engines4Hospitals), food processing industry (#Engines4Food) and data centres (#Engines4Digital). In addition, EUGINE paid tribute to staff of member companies contributing to the fight against COVID-19 by providing material to medical staff.
